A Chinese porcelain Guan Yin stands above a lotus abode, hands held together by her waist, with a lotus flower and leaf clinging to her right shoulder. The lotus-born bodhisattva is draped in a wind-swept white robe with sumptuous symmetric folds. She appears gently turning to her side in a subtle tribhanga pose. The brilliant white porcelain is crisp and translucent. Which effectively accentuating her divine countenance with a sense of purity pervading the statue's unblemished whiteness. This radiant white porcelain is best known as Blanc de Chine in the West. The Guan Yin statue is attributed to the Dehua workshop in Fujian Province. Note that there are remnants of residuals between the crevices on the figure. It has a few tiny firing cracks and age-related glaze shrinkage. Though hardly noticeable, a small flower on the front of the lotus abode appears to be missing. The Goddess herself remains serene and shines like a jewel nevertheless.
