A
vigorously carved ebony Jambhala, God of Wealth, seated in lotus posture on a
beaded lotus throne atop a four-toed horned and bearded dragon. Jambhala holds
the victory banner in his right hand, his left is in the gesture of threat or
warning. His hair rises straight upward, he is crowned with the five pointed crown,
necklaces, armbands and bracelets of bone. Celestial scarves swirl around him,
his features are furrowed in wrathful countenance, his third eye is open. The
dense, dark wood has been polished to a satin sheen.
