A spirited 20th Century antler katabori netsuke in a compact and lively composition, depicting a court Sambaso Dancer in an animated performance stance, as his head is thrust forward, he strikes the bell rattle onto his right thigh, while his left foot is raised to the beats dancing to the rhythm. The dancer has an individualized facial features, layered over billowing pants completed with ceremonial headgear.
