A
long and sinuous dragon in cream colored ivory, carved from a single length of
material, depicting the creature with its body coiled into a loop and extending
to a waving spiked tail, the head carved with open jaws, furry eyebrows, horns
and whiskers. The Chinese dragon is a very complex creature and is imbued with
mystical powers. Its body has 117 scales; 81 infused with yang and 36 infused
with yin, thus balancing out the dragon's temper and personality. Inlaid eyes,
mounted on a fitted wood base.
