An
unusual pill box netsuke, cream to gold in color with age patina and age cracks.
Carved on all six sides in decorative style, the box is hollowed out, with a movable
disc at the bottom connected to a drilled button at the top, allowing both the
button and the disc to rotate. Vignettes of pagodas and pines decorate the four
sides and the bottom as well, with a geometric motif engraved on the top of the
piece. With its rich surface and unique design, a intriguing netsuke.
