Qing Dynasty era bamboo root carving known as Gratitude Offering for the altar.
Featuring two spiky scales Water Dragons emerging
from the rolling waves, fiercely contending for a wisdom pearl amid layers
of intertwining fire and mist. With a curvilinear carved-through in
twelve levels, in a naturally aged reddish brown; the piece is wonderfully
preserved and all its intricacies intact.
