A soft white to light beige Hetian jade toggle, of circular Bi-disk form, pierced through the center with two spikes sweep to the side insinuate water splashes. From the dome-shaped swell upsurges a long-horned Chilong dragon, intricately carved with bulging eyes and square open jaws baring tongue and fangs, fanned by two muscular forearms thrust up in a striking position. While its S-shaped body submerging in waves, its curled long-tail resurfaced to the rear emanated a rhythmic playfulness. The water dragon is a symbol of power and wealth. Judging by the superb carving and alluring design, this is a highly collectible specimen of the 19th century Qing period.
