An okimono assembled from several pieces, depicting a cooper seated on a platform, finishing lids. Cream to gold in color, the figure carved separately and mounted, along with the many pieces that constitute his growing inventory of saki barrel tops. A typical late Meiji piece, the emphasis on the novelty of the assembled scene. Engraving with sumi in the wood grain, the details of the face and the embroideries on the robe.
