Condition: hair lines, o.a. very good! A
classic manju named for its shape which resembles a bean cake, made of a quality
natural material, honey cream color with age patina, polished to tactile expanse
with dazzling texture. The carving is accomplished with simplicity of technique
that has a charm of folk style, an example of restraint and spare design that
is a hallmark of original 19th century manju style. With two closed hairline on
one side, a thin crack line shown on the interior of the opposit side. Overall
the manju netsuke remains in very good condition.
