Condition: very good

A very fine Chinese goddess in cream tone, with striations and markings scattered over the garment area and on the back of the piece. Delicately rendered during the Qing era in the early 19th century, the demure figure of a woman is posed with a stem of flowers held close about her, her face shadowed by an elaborate and carefully engraved formal coiffure, eyes look slightly downward, her facial features are smooth and sensitively realized. She is standing on a tapered sandalwood base. Overall in very good condition.
