Padma
Sambhava is an Indian Buddhist Adept from Uddiyan (present
time Swat of Pakistan) in the 8th century. He was one of the
first Indian Adept invited to Tibet to teach Buddhism; and
is considered as a major spiritual hero in converting the
Tibetan nomad warriors culture into highly civilized society.
The teaching of Padma Sambhava are the foundation of Nyingmapas.
