Chola style lost wax cast four-armed Ganesha standing on a lotus base, immaculate
solid yellow bronze with age patina and malachite accumulations in green. Ganesha is the bestower of knowledge, patron of arts and science, a deity
of power and compassion, wisdom, gravity and joyousness. The four-armed deity
holds a sweet cake in his lower left hand, and his half broken tusk in the lower
right, his upper left hand holds a pasha, and a conch in his upper
right hand. The pot belly of Ganesha signifies his bounty nature. He
is a much beloved spiritual icon, and widely worshipped across cultural and religious
boundaries.
