The flame that rises in his upper left hand is the fire of destruction. The lower right hand offers the protection of Dhamar to his devotees, which he reaffirmes through pointing to his uprised left foot that symbolizes the absolute nature of our original self, an indication of promise of men's ultimate salvation from the cycles of Samsara.
